Description
The Forest Green Compressor (FGC) is designed to meet the highest standards of guitar and bass compression. It offers extremely low noise across its entire operating range, combined with a high overload margin that allows a wide dynamic input range with minimal distortion and noise.
A key feature of the Forest Green Compressor is its carefully designed tone control, which allows you to fine-tune the compressed sound for maximum transparency. The pedal features two operating modes — Compressor and Sustain — giving it exceptional versatility for different playing styles and musical applications.
In Sustain mode, the FGC delivers a highly dynamic and touch-sensitive tone with long sustain, while preserving the natural attack of the note. This makes it particularly well suited for blues players and slide guitar, where feel and articulation are critical. In Compressor mode, the pedal provides classic compression characteristics with smooth leveling and excellent clarity.
Thanks to its thoughtful design and musical response, the Forest Green Compressor works equally well as a transparent compressor, a sustain tool, or even a subtle boost in certain settings.
Controls
- LEVEL – In Compressor mode, adjusts the overall output volume and allows the pedal to be used as a booster. In Sustain mode, controls the level of the sustained portion of the signal rather than total output.
- COMPR. – Sets the amount of compression or sustain. Lower settings provide mainly peak limiting, while higher settings increase compression with reduced touch sensitivity. At maximum, the output is heavily compressed while retaining clarity and near-infinite sustain.
- TONE – Fine-tunes the compressed sound for maximum transparency. Fully counter-clockwise provides full-range compression; noon tightens the sound with slightly reduced low end; fully clockwise slightly reduces upper treble.
- COMPRESSOR / SUSTAIN switch – Selects between standard compression and sustain modes. Attack and decay times are internally fine-tuned for swift attack and slow decay, with Sustain mode preserving attack while amplifying weaker signal parts.
