The Simble Overdrive Mk2 is the updated version of Mad Professor’s legendary transparent overdrive. It delivers an organic, natural overdrive tone with a wide dynamic range, allowing your guitar’s core character to remain fully intact.
Designed to be highly versatile, the Simble Overdrive Mk2 can function as a clean boost, an edge-of-breakup crunch pedal, or a smooth, singing overdrive. Across its entire gain range, it responds naturally to pick attack and playing dynamics, making it equally suitable for expressive rhythm work and articulate lead tones.
For the Mk2 version, the circuit was revisited together with the original designer, Lassi Ukkonen. The result is a more open sound with increased headroom and improved brightness from the Contour control, allowing the pedal to work effortlessly with a wide range of guitars and amplifiers.
Controls
- LEVEL – Sets the overall output level.
- SENSITIVITY – Controls the amount of distortion and compression.
- CONTOUR – Shapes the overall tone of the output; unity at the 12 o’clock position.
- ACCENT – Adjusts the tonal range of the distortion and pick attack. Fully counter-clockwise has no effect; turning clockwise increases brightness and presence.
