The Royal Blue Overdrive Handwired marks the return of Mad Professor’s premium Handwired series, combining expressive overdrive tones with uncompromising build quality. Designed for players who value dynamics and feel, it delivers everything from light overdrive to full distortion, while maintaining exceptional clarity and touch sensitivity.
With minimal filtering in the overdrive circuit, the Royal Blue Overdrive Handwired preserves a transparent core tone that can be precisely shaped using the dedicated Bass and Treble controls. With the Drive control rolled all the way down, the pedal can also function as a clean boost with active EQ.
Like the finest boutique amplifiers, the Royal Blue Overdrive Handwired allows you to control the amount of breakup through pick attack and your guitar’s volume knob. This makes it highly responsive and expressive, adding amp-like dynamics to any clean or slightly overdriven amplifier.
Built using high-quality through-hole components, Alpha potentiometers and switches, and Switchcraft jacks, the pedal is housed in a custom sheet-metal enclosure with top-mounted jacks for practical pedalboard integration. All Handwired series pedals are made in Finland.
