Description
The Deep Blue Delay Handwired marks the return of Mad Professor’s renowned Handwired series, combining classic delay tones with premium, road-ready construction. Designed to deliver natural, musical repeats, it captures the feel of vintage tape and analog delays while offering modern reliability and usability.
The delay features a digital delay engine with an analog direct signal path, built using analog amplifiers with no filtering. This design keeps the dry signal completely intact and ensures that the repeats remain warm, clear, and organic. With its simple and intuitive controls, the Deep Blue Delay Handwired makes it easy to dial in anything from short slapback echoes to rich, atmospheric delay textures.
The pedal is specifically designed to work equally well with clean and distorted tones. It can be placed before or after distortion pedals, in front of an amplifier, or in an effects loop. There are no noise-reduction circuits, allowing the echo decay to remain as natural as possible, while carefully tuned filtering ensures smooth operation even at extreme delay settings.
Controls
- LEVEL – Sets the level of the delayed signal mixed with the dry guitar tone. Fully counter-clockwise provides only the dry (uneffected) signal.
- DELAY – Controls the delay time from approximately 25 ms (fully counter-clockwise) to 450 ms (fully clockwise).
- REPEAT – Controls the number of delay repeats. Fully counter-clockwise produces a single repeat; fully clockwise allows infinite feedback.
